Not really relevant, but 6Mbps or so.

Anything from 1Mb to 2Mb. So it's a big increase for me, only thing is that my son has stopped speaking to me now lol I don't think I should have shown him when I D/L a 1.39Gb file in around 6mins. Now he not play fair as my grandson rang up to say that his speed is not fast these days grrrrrrrrrrr lol

He may just have been interested, which is why I gave a sensible reply. Or he may have been under the common illusion, (are you?), that there is the slightest hint of a relationship between ADSLx and Openreach FTTC speeds?

Comparing the two is just a question of justifying the expense. Comparing the increases experienced by two users is fairly academic.

So why did you "scowl" ?

I am interested in how much of an increase people have moving from ADSL. For example I have a 15 fold increase. I am aware that ADSL distance is not related to FTTC speeds.

But why?

Apart from the argument that people on near-20Mbps speeds on LLU ADSL2+ wouldn't find it worth the spend?

I couldn't really justify it even on 6Mbps apart from just wanting it because it was there. (Not quite true - for a long time I had been getting intermittent bursts of 20-second interval re-syncs continuing for hours which could be cured by doing a quiet line test and hanging onto it - big nuisance that I expected to cure and seem to have succeeded).

No particular reason, just one of them random things I find interesting

Though, , "random" is indeed the operative word.

Why did I scowl - because I don't know you from Adam but you are starting to get on my nerves. You seem to believe you need to be in every thread on the sections I read, you have this annoying "superior" attidude to other people.

For example, asking JLamy why he wants to know something that you deem irrelevant. You even replied to him later on with the "certainly is random" comment.

I'm on option 2 unlimited so I don't think my usage with enter into it, I've checked over the last 12months and my highest Total ( Up/Down) was around 50Gb and the max on this is 300GB but I understand that's going. I download the odd Film now and then, I watch a lot of sport and I use Sky player and it's great now that I can have it on HQ and not LQ which even that used to buffer so I'm happy.
By changing I've increased my speed 18 fold give or take.
Would I be correct in thinking RouterStats will not work with Infinity???? Thats a great bit of kit to monitor your speed?

You can email team@ or PM seb and ask for me to be put on your Ignore list. Then you won't see my irritating comments.

If JLamy is upset by my comments I'm sure he/she can handle it without your help.

You could also google "sense of humour" and then try to find out how to get one.

It seems to me it is you displaying the "superior" attitude in deciding what I may or may not post on these forums, and how I should interact with someone else you don't know from Adam.
