I did some checking a couple of months ago, the company has been going since 1999.
Its supposed to be 24/7 service but its far from that. If phoning, do so on weekday mornings only or you will get no further than the switchboard, same with Bank Holls no service just switchboard and promise to call back which never happens.
Email service is a lot better, same day.
Reported a problem yesterday, bet they wont look at it until Monday.
I have been through the online contract and cant see any where it states 12 months since i paid the install! Therefore 1 month notice.
In all fairness they did get BT to sort a problem last week, but it returned again yesterday.
At the time there was only 4 ISP coming in at sub £30 p/m and two offering unlimited off peak downloads.
After the saga with ADSL24 failing to submit the order to BT for 10 working days with provisional install 7 to 21 days after, i pulled out didnt deserve my custom. Webtapestry got me installed 5 days later but issued 4 wrong passwords and an extension to the login costing me 18 days and loss of income. Would have been ok if i had an internet connection and going in to my control panel.
The only other one i would have gone with was Fast4 but with capped limits.
Forget BT 18 month contract and trouble getting away from them at the end, you have to have phone line and calls with them so costing more than shopping around, as told the 2nd Openreach installer who hadnt much of a clue "You need a fibre router" there was two in front of him.
Just waiting for the day O2/BE offer FTTC.
