Ummm. Not a subject I am well up on. To the point I'm not even sure what to look for.

Though I'm assuming what you mean is the ability to schedule internet access for children. I don't think it has that, but I don't have the latest model.

If you are meaning MAC address filtering to enhance wireless security, then yes. And somewhere IIRC guest devices can use WEP while your main network uses WPA, and the WEP devices can then see the net but not the LAN.

What are you looking for?

If you switch to TalkTalk (now taking FTTC orders) you can have Homesafe enabled which will give you access control at the network level, so any router/modem combination can be limited.

The TT website still says "launching in May", and the Plus package still says "the fastest broadband we can provide".

TT fibre will be a Boost costing £10. It isn't yet in the Boost list.

Where do you get the "taking orders" bit?

Give 'em a call, they only started taking orders for the boost last week so it's not being splashed. On the TT members site, they're saying it shows as a boost option in your account if the cabinet and exchange work has been completed by Openreach.

That sounds really good, however I have already signed up with BT so no longer an option really. but thanks for responding.

I'll search the forums for Router recommendations then, however I wish BT did something like that. The HH2 used to confuse devices even when using static local IP's or MAC codes so some times my own PC would get restricted. However I think this was because the router had a lot of bugs when changing the default IP ranges.

Having to limit iPhone's/iPad's/Laptops access controls so people don't spend all night on the internet is a pain.

Well im happy so far.

OpenReach guy got here dot on 8am and fitted my new service before 9am. He showed me I was connecting on his device at 39999/10000 and it seems to be flying laugh

Can't get the BT SpeedTester to work at the moment but here it is from here:

Doesn't seem to be maxing out but guess I'm 1hr in to my training.

The OR guy said I was the first in the cab to be connected.

And here's another:

Anyone know how long it will be before I can use the BT Speedtester?

It gets stuck on checking my details at the moment and I wanna see what my BRAS and throughput is according to them.

Thanks

I was able to use the BT speedtest the day after install but even after this I have had it fail at checking my details.
