Cabinet Not Ready

Ordered BT Infinity on Friday and was shecduled for an engineer to visit on the 20th to install my new kit.

However today the order status changed to "an engineer does not need to vist your premisses" etc.

So i phone BT and was told open reach had rejected my order as the cabinet is not ready

The line checker said it was and i could expect 29.5 meg
I am on the Milton Keynes Exchange and would love to finally have a line speed greater than a measley 1meg

Any ideas how i can find out when my cabinet is going to be ready?

Sometimes cabinets get listed as ready for service only to find that there are problems come the 1st live installs, so any orders immediately following get delayed.

{SMBT}{p63} = the pvp you are connected to - number 63 aka the green cabinet with number 63 written on it.

0 = you are not directly connected to exchange (good in this case)

100 = 100% of the lines in this postcode go to this cabinet

24.61 = uplift ratio based on 40mb ie your adsl line speed currently is probably 40 / 24.61 = about 1.6 mb

5a = phase 5a of the rollout project aka now

Yes = on rollout schedule

FTTC = technology deployed.

Hi,

Just spoke to BT, they went away and did a few checks and have asid that it apears ready on some systems but the actual activation date for the cabinet is 15th July.

So they will call me back on the 16th and place an order for me then
