Openreach VDSL Modem Dimensions

Hi, I am preparing for my FTTC installation on Thursday and am trying to find the dimensions of the openreach modem. Could someone measure the size of it for me by any chance ?

4.5" x 6.5" x 1.5"

... don't forget, there will be some space required around the modem so it can 'breath'.

I believe the recommended installation is wall-mounting as so many have had to be replaced after cooking themselves.

When my FTTC was installed I received 2V modems which are a 2nd generation version '2' so I assume the problems of the earlier version modems have been fixed.

Thanks everyone for the info, I am planning on putting it on the wall but needed to know if it would fit in the gap between the shelf upright and the corner of the room and it seems it will. So now I can drill a couple of holes now I have the dimensions so I can position it where I want and save the BT engineer a couple of minutes as I'm going to ask them to move the master socket from behind the front door to upstairs.

Don't forget, the Modem has a Power and Ethernet connection coming from its underside. Allow a good inch and a half for these cables.

Why drill holes, BT/OR do it as part of the installation.

To save time for the engineer and make sure it lines up nicely with my 12v DC UPS that will be powering it.
