Started at about 27Mbit and it's gradually moved down to the 23-24Mbit I currently receive. It's been stable at this speed for a good few months now.

yeah! aww... i can't access it yet though.. you're welcome to email the log if you want.. email address as per my profile.. i will return the data graphed for you, or if you want the gnuplot scripts to graph it yourself, you're welcome the scripts are pretty shoddy though..the xdslcmd data has to be manually tidied up before gnuplot will even accept it.

Just emailed you the log file.

If you could graph the data for me I'd appreciate it.

Are you using Windows client? If so then you need to enter "o 192.168.1.1" with the "o" being the open command.

Thanks orly,

That seems quite poor for only 600m from the cab.

Are you 100% convinced that 600m is about right & 100% convinced you know which cab you are connected to?

I have read of others who can see a nearby cab, but are actually connected to a cab that is further away.

I know exactly which cab I am connected to & I would estimate it to be 800m or so away from my house.
My current download speed are about 20Mb.

Pauline.

I asked the engineer at the time which cab it was. My street is a cul de sac, so I basically drive to the end, turn right and then it's a straight run to the cabinet which is at the far end. The distance is roughly 600m assuming the cable follows this route too.

Annoyingly there is a cabinet outside the local school which is about 200m away

Tried telnet and putty. telnet just says it fails to connect. Putty closes as soon as you attempt to connect.

Was standard. Tried it off too. Neither makes a difference.
