Had BT Infinity installed on Monday (2 days ago) and thought i'd post my stats.
Moved from O2 Broadband and was getting about 5Mbps down, 0.9Mbps up on speedtest.net - which is good for our estate as most seem to get about half that.
Cabinet is roughly about 250m away by road (out of street and across/down the main road a bit).
Predicted speed was 33.1mb and 7.8mb.
At the install, he said it was sync'ing the full 40/10.
His tester showed:
Actual: 9996k 39992k
Max: 18161k 50997k
Capacity: 55% 78%
SNR: 18.5db 13.5db
Line Attn: 11.1db 9.1db
I can get around 37Mbps and 8Mbps on a speedtest.net speedtest.
speedtester.bt.com shows:
IP Profile: 38718k / 10000k
Test: 33239Kbps
Acceptable Range: 12,000 - 38918
Upstream: 8104Kbps:
Ping times seem to be between 18 - 20ms to UK sites.

Am running my own Buffalo WZR-G300NH router running OpenWRT into the Openreach modem instead of the BT HomeHub.
So far it dropped the connection in the middle of the first night but seems to have been up fine since then (have got the thinkbroadband.com BQM and ping's from outside running).
Does that look correct / about the normal/maximum you can get from FTTC/Infinity?
How good are those SNR / Attn readings?
