Power for FTTP?

I've been searching in vain for any mention of supplying power to FTTP DPs. I'd been assuming it wasn't required, but was I wrong? Are there active components in the DPs/splitters?

Reason I ask is that today a power company is digging a trench very close to where BT dug the holes I provided photos of recently

Full FTTP then I dont recall any, only the CPE that converts the fibre to Ethernet
