What happens when my 18 month contract for BT Infinity + BT phone line expires in summer 2012, I don't want to cancel, but I also don't want to be locked into another long contract is there a month by month kind of deal available ? TIA

dont worry it will be ok it used to be bt would renew your contract was automatic ofcom has changed things

If he is on the Evening and Weekend calls package that becomes chargeable unless he opts to take a 12-month contract on the line and makes the requisite number of calls per month/quarter.

It was always whats called a 'Sharp' practice.
ie: not illegal, but morally corrupt. and the league of badly run companies.
Ie; right up BT's street... (google 'phorm')..

Do they both automatically continue on a rolling 30day contract ?

I hadn't thought of that. My guess would be that it does continue free, but don't take my word for it.

Hows this affect other companies?
I have a 12 month rolling contract that they do not tell you when its due for phone. This ends 27 Feb.
Different ISP FTTC 12 month up 15 April.
