By ignore the checker, should I just sit back and wait for a 'congratulations you have FTTC!' message or should I try calling up and asking them. Webchat seems to be leading nowhere, I get conflicting messages. I wonder if not being on a BT line is affecting it or not. Thanks again.
Why not just use a neighbours telephone number for the BT checker?
If it the same post code the answer will normally be the same unless the post code is only being partly FTTC which I think has already been discounted.
I know this is cheeky but I am receiving conflicting info regarding whether my cabinet will be enabled. My exchange goes live on 01/01/12 but no info yet on bt wholesale checker.
My postcode is RM166RH and the exchange is Chafford.

Oh dear, I seem to be destined for 2meg forever then. They seem to only be upgrading cabinets that are in the side of town next to the exchange who also get virgin media....our side gets 2meg...go figure!
