Re: Cabinet information please- exchange live in September.

Not that it matters much to me now, but for fellow cabinet 66'ers, I have heard from BT that the cabinet is due to be enabled in December 2012, but could be subject to indefinite delay!! (So will it or won't it??)

For anyone that is on cabinet 20 at the other end of the road, and was looking forward to fibre (cabinet installation was abandoned in June), there were complaints about the cabinet, hence the work was cancelled. Say thanks to the nimbys wink

I live on ls104dt, I think this is on cab 20, does this mean we won't be getting fibre? The red markings for the dslam next to it have been recently painted on the ground.

They started digging up the street for the cabinet installation back in June as I was watching them. Next day the holes were filled in and the workmen gone, and no new cabinet. The street works referred to in my previous post show as the installation being abandoned and BT told me it was on hold indefinitely, hence our cabinet also being placed on the potential list for an indefinite delay. Apparently it only takes one complaint for the work to stop, then presumably OR go away and think about what to do next.

This isnt good news, what can we do about this? The location where it was going to be placed was a large wide path in the corner... Infront of hedges next to the existing one...

Not looking good for September frown

Have you looked at the site http://www.fibreformiddleton.org.uk/ ? They have opened it up for all of Middleton now and not just the new estate.
