I guess this means the cabinet is being installed?!?

Please tell me it is so... Having had to live with rubbish broadband because i am on a long line, i just cannot wait for fibre to come in, especially as the spreadsheet implies an uplift in speed of over 60x!

Anyway, this is what Elgin says - as far as i can see it will be next to the existing cabinet:

Yep looks like you are on the way towards fibre.

Ive found the Elgin website very useful looking out for whats going on with the FTTC installation around my town.

You may notice the cabinet is installed and then in a few months BT are likely to be digging up the road in various places around your town, unblocking ducts to get the fibres in.

I would say that the permit isn't for FTTC installation at the moment.

The works description for FTTC works usually states FTTC/Cabinet or NGA. This permit is for a new manhole access which may be due to a fault repair or other standard cable works.
