Hi guys any idea on how I can locate my cabinet, I've found out I'm connected to CAB 50, I've had a walk around and managed to find 48 and 51 but cant seem to find any others. Is there any data available on where exactly the cabs are? The BT checker is showing I can get 40mb down 10mb up, so it must be quite nearby?

There's what looks like a green cab at the corner of Letchworth Road and Wynfield Road? (Or is that a Virgin one?)

Looks like a cable cab.
This one on the right is BT, also this one.

thanks for all the quick replies guys, I can confirm most of the one's mentioned are Virgin Cable cabs, however the small one is a BT cab and is the closest I've managed to find near my house. However it is not numbered like the rest of the other BT Cab's I've seen in my area also it looks way too small unless its going to be upgraded soon?

The may have to re-shell a PCP to enlarge it before they install the new DSLAM cabinet and connect them together.
Whats the number on it?

Unfortunately it has not been numbered like the rest of the cabs in my area. Could anyone confirm if this one is a VM CAB I think it is...its one of the largest cab's in my area and has several fans I believe..

I beleive it is. Take a a look at the footway box cover in front of it next time you pass and see what it says.
Also check this one. I susspect the one on the left replaced the samller one some time ago.

Hi thanks for confirming this, that would make sense and its the closet BT cab to me. I'm guessing they would have to re-shell the cab then as its tiny?

No, there are already many FTTC cabs fed from a cabinet like that, we have a few around where we are based. They only require a small extra patch panel in the old cab and many existing cabs have plenty of room inside (even small cabs), so there is no requirement to re-shell, unless of course they are cram packed in there and need to.
