When is my Cabinet due to be upgraded to Fibre?

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help.

We're thinking about a property to move into, and we would like to know if fibre will shortly be available in the property.

The postcode for the property is: TN23 1RF.

I know that the exchange for this town (Ashford) already has FTTC.

It appears to be on cabinet 69, and in the December spreadsheet not scheduled. The situation could have changed since then of course.

Do you think that because the town exchange (Ashford) is already enabled, this will mean the wait for my particular cabinet to be enabled shouldn't be too long?

A lot of the other cabinets in ashford are already enabled.

I would guess that those towns where their main exchanges aren't yet enabled for FTTC would probably have a longer wait, because this would need to happen first before the cabinets can start to be enabled also. Is this correct?

Is it a benefit to me that at least Ashford's main exchange already has FTTC?

Sorry, I haven't a clue about that. I think in some places you would be right, and it will come fairly soon after, in others it could be ages.

At least it looks as though the ADSL2+ speed should be fairly high there.
