Connected to exchange,not adjacent FTTC enabled cab-options?

At present, it appears as though I am one of the minority of properties on my street connected directly to the exchange at the top of my (long) street, rather than the cabinet adjacent to the property.

Is there any way of pushing through a change to be connected to the cabinet, rather than the exchange, and so be able to be connected to a FTTC service?

Also, if anybody is able to sanity-check my information, I'd really appreciate that...
postcode S10 2QT, and the cab just outside me is BRO046, and the exchange I'm connected to is BRO.
