cab not fttc on new house im moving to?

hey all,

I have done some research into this but just want someone to check to mak sure

at my current address at sn1 3qt i have bt infinity at a steady 30 odd Mb connection, but at the address that i will be moving to Sn15 3Sr bt wholesale site says that i cant even get adsl2= let alone fttc is this correct?? also if BT was to make the Cabinet fttc what would be the most likely one as i cant see any around the area (am i blind) The person at the address at the moment was on sky but was getting about 250k download so we changed after sky said they cant do anything the person is now on 02, but still cant get about 1mb any reason for this? I have removed the bell wire and fitted a nte5 but still the poor speed, any advise / help

says you can get FTTC there and up to 5mb speeds on ADSL2 and full LLU services are there, so not sure what BT are saying you can not get it ?

should be your FTTC cab?

ops me stupid google maps got confused between the two post codes looks like there is no FTTC cab on the main road so no FTTC at that house (others mite be able to help you for more info)
on maps google search 51.44732,-2.106816 go into street view on the green pointer and look at the cerb with the 4 BT covers

Suggests you are going to get FTTC, just it has not been done yet. And Chippenham does have ADSL2+ but if the line is 50dB or more attenuation then that wont help much.

The BT Wholesale checker needs a telephone number to give the WBC speed estimates I think.
