Rough Time Between Cabinet Being Installed And FTTC Order

My exchange (and hopefully my specific cabinet) is due to be done for the end of June 12. However I've seen no activity near my cabinet to date.

What kind of time have people experienced between seeing their cabinet installed and being able to place an order for an FTTC based service ?

Anything from 6 weeks to 9 months...

My rough dates were

Feb 2011 - planning permission requested (Cabinet in conservation area)
April 2011 - Planning Permission granted
August 2011 - New Cabinet in place
January 2012 - Exchange went live
05 March 2012 - Blockage cleared from ducting
01 April 2012 - Power Installed
15 May 2012 - Infinity available to order
30 May 2012 - Engineer coming around

The cabinet was planned for phase 5B

I don't know when my exchange was enabled but the fibre cabinet arrived late Oct 2011. The earliest I could get an installation at home was end Feb 2012. I was initially offered end Dec but that was withdrawn when it was realised no one had yet run electricity to the cabinet

Rural village 3.5km from the Exchange (Newport Pagnell, Bucks).

Cabinet unexpectedly installed just over a year ago. Don't see why it was a priortity, as only 250 houses here, but all well-heeled (except me!).

Took a couple of weeks wait 'till I could order.

All very seamless and efficient (BT).

550 Metres from the Cabinet, Infinity, 33Mbps Down / 5 Mbps Up. Solid.

Cab installed around May 20, following week OR spent working on it, following week all ground works completed. Last Tuesday I used the checker and it said 'by June 30' (previously no entry for fibre). Got back on Friday evening and it said available to order! Had to wait until Monday morning to request a MAC, which gave me a chance to decide on which ISP. Monday placed order with AAISP. Selected May 28 as earliest date available for install. Got confirmation e-mail later that afternoon, saying OR appointment arranged for next Monday, 21st!

OK so it still could go horribly wrong, but I'm amazed at the speed things have moved so far.

Cab installed 3/2/12
Tie Cable 27/2/12
Power installed 7/3/12
First attempt at clearing blocked ducts 8/3/12-12/3/12
Second attempt at clearing blocked ducts / fibre install 31/3/12 (a Saturday!)

Exchange RFS originally due 31/3/12
New exchange RFS prediction 30/6/12

In the meantime National Grid Gas have dug up the street, smashed up the BT ducting leaving cable exposed underground (and then covered over the evidence) and partially collapsed a cable pit due to their deep excavations adjacent to the pavement. So heaven knows if it'll still work when BT eventually get around to putting it into service
