is my Cabinet going to be FTTC enabled

could anyone please tell me if my Cabinet is going to be enabled

this is nearly the same cab as mine http://www.robertos.me.uk/html/virgin_furniture_0.html but there is no number on it this is a Google link to my cab if I have done it right. http://goo.gl/maps/kOZo .now the road just before this the cab does have a number on it 503343 and is the same type cab

FYI, those are cable cabinets, not BT/Openreach cabinets

the one here http://goo.gl/maps/kOZo is a BT one that is what I was told by the BT guy who fixed my landline and who told me I am connected to that one??? do you have any link to pictures of BT cab's so I can have a better look around my area??

No, that is a cable cabinet, not BT. PM me your postcode and i can tell you what cab you are on and where it is.

If that cabinet is the same as the one numbered 503343, then it is not a BT cabinet.

VM cabinets have that sort of number. There are only a couple or so of BT ones in the country of 4 digits. All others are lower.

Your first link is definitely VM.

so it looks like i will be able to get fttc soon i hope so .what are the odds do you guys
think that i will be able to order in july? or is this date likely to be put back

It's more likely than not that it'll be ready by July.

have ordered fibre from talktalk due to be installed this fri but when I have been to have a look at my cabinet there is no sound coming from it at all ?

With the weather as it is there's little need for fans to be running to cool the equipment inside down

if you can order it, then assume the best

There won't be any sound from cabinet 48. It will be from the FTTC cabinet nearby, (normally within 50m but can be further), and even then you need your ear close to the vents.

Like your PC / laptop at home the fans speed up and slow down as needed. In this weather they really aren't needed

Thanks to my latest technology hearing aids (switched to "T" position) as I can hear very loud high pitch sound on the FTTC cabinet but the normal PCP cabinet is no pitch sound.
