Fritz!Box 7390

I recently had fibre optic with talktlak installed and wanted just one piece of kit to replace the open reach modem and talktalk wireless router. After looking around the web I decided to go for the Fritz!Box 7390.
It's probably the most expensive solution but after having used it now for over a week I can see why it is worth every penny.
This is by far the best router/modem I've had and it's the easiest to add peripherals.
Even setting up a static ip is a breeze.
Highly recommended!

Do you think this would work with sky FTTC as its uses MER.

I'm truly tempted to get this, but before I can I need to sell my Cisco 887VA which has hardly been used (about 3 weeks probably). Fritz!Box 7390 has the functionality I'm looking for in regards to integrated wireless, ease of configuration, integrated DECT and VOIP functionality, updating the firmware without paying for another license, and much more.

As I say, I expect I won't be able to as I probably won't be able to find a buyer for my Cisco 887VA.

Would be worth firing of a support ticket to AVM though.
I have the 7390 on 80/20 and it's been brilliant. Latest beta firmware seem to have solved the only bug I had (phantom calls) plus it's IPv6 support is great. Well worth the £179 I paid from http://www.momilc.com/en/20-avm-fritzbox-fon-wlan-73...

Have a review one, but did find the DECT seemed noisier than my usual base station.

Might need to tweak the bass/treble/midrange settings for each handset and try switching the HD audio options. The settings I have for each handset are 'Boosted' for bass, midrange and treble and HD audio set to auto. This is with Seimens handsets.

You do need to 'double-filter' them it seems.
I have an ADSLNation faceplate and then a normal dongle filtering the voice side again.

Same setup here. I have always double filtered, just a habbit I suppose.

That is one hell of a router and one hell of a price. why is sky using MER? Maybe it is to stop people using other routers.
