Re: 80/20 not fast enough? try bonding

Can you tell us a bit more?

Who with, how much is this costing? do they host a device for you the other end? Is it properly bonded in as much as a single stream can consume both links? (Speedtest.net is multithreaded so unfair) One set of IPs?

I already have two lines but I load balance at present and it is a royal pain..

Thanks!

I'm with Goscomb Technolgies (it says on the speedtest image) which is L2TP via Entanet.

I have 4 FTTC circuits, 3 bonded and 1 backup (BGP failover). I pay about the same as Zen/IDNet/ADSL24 equivalent products (500gb per line so 2TB a month overall).

It's Multilink PPP to their Cisco LNS so properly bonded both downstream and upstream.

Hope that answers your questions.

Ah sorry I assumed they were just the carrier. Thanks for the info smile

Its clearly priced for business! Making A&A looking reasonable...

Good news on the mlppp, the best solution all round.

I'm with ADSL24 and using 2 x 80/20 bonded connections with mlppp. 1 IP etc.

I use ADSL24 for my line rental too.

I'm very pleased with the service.

I'm there first and afaik to date only bonded customer, been bonded with the 40/10 service for over a year previously. Unlike some other ISP's I ain't paid any extra charge for bonded per month.

I'm maxing the lines out at around 135-140MB/s and when you consider I was paying more to BE for a bonded ADSL2+ service with 12MB/s it's a no brainer.

The "current speed test" in your sig isn't very impressive wink
