Cabinet Cover?

[link to this post]

Drove past my fibre cab earlier as I have a BT engineer calling tomorrow who will hopefully resolve my ping and speed issues but I discovered this

Cabinet

As the cab is close to a bonfire site from last night i hope this was put in just to protect it from any unwanted vandalism.

Has anyone else seen this before?

My only other concern is, as its a morning appointment I hope that BT have this removed for the engineer frown

The engineers do not have access to the FTTC cab so its irrelevant. If there is a suspected fault, they get the Openreach control centre to just allocate a different port and then they just switch the jumpering at the PCP - hence no need to do anything in the FTTC cab.

Yes fixed with a change of ports and a reset. Speeds back up around 19Mb but my ping is much lower than it was previously so win win for me :0

If you can thank Paul and Mosh for all their help in getting this sorted.

Its just a shame it took BT so long to accept that there was a fault.
