Carillion telent is it part of Openreach ?

Just curious is http://www.carilliontelent.com/about/about.asp part of openreach in the same way openreach is not BT ?

No. Carrillion Telent is a contractor and contracted by BT to provide nationwide civil engineering support and to supplement BT's own workforce as is stated on the website you referenced.

Openreach won't tell you any specifics about your nearest cab.

Carillion Telent are un-likely to tell you or even know anything (plus they are not always the relevant sub-contractor carrying out the FTTC works).

In theory though, Carillion sub-contract the work out.

Well people seem to be getting hot under the collar over fibre...not me... a long way off.

Closing this thread as it was a question asked and answered and I don't think it helpful to have high level issues mail addresses as a sig.

Whilst these address are on our site to offer them for any issues with BT/Openreach will just end up with them being swamped and eventually of no use to anyone, so I am requesting that the sig be removed from any further posts.
