Ok, so sensible results can't be expected from putting a PO Box postcode into BT Wholesale's checker.
This message is still a bit confusing, and presumably wasn't just written for PO Box postcodes:
Sorry, broadband is currently not available on your exchange.
Also, due to your line being routed over Fibre, it is currently not possible for your telephone line to support broadband service. Please accept our apologies. We are continuing to look for alternative technology solutions and this site will be updated with developments as they happen.
I would have thought a fibre line would be ideal for broadband?
Oliver.

Was a very big isssue on this site (as ADSLguide) in the early 2000s - many places have had copper overlay to resolve the DSL issues. Now of course I wonder if the TPON fibres can be used for FTTC but given BT's luck they're probably the wrong wavelength.

I think my reply to Zarjaz is more likely. TPON I would guess would be relevant to a normal residential or business line.

Not all POBox post codes are those of sorting offices.

The PO Box doesn't have any geographic information other than the town, so my guess is I've just confused it into spitting out a TPON error at random.
