Cabinets not being upgraded:
12 - Ovington
16 - West Prudhoe
17 - Low Prudhoe
Seems like decent coverage with only three cabs missing out.
Sadly I think BT have missed an opportunity with Cab 12 to be honest, it's a fairly small village but the ADSL speeds are only around 1-2Mb/s out there and I'm sure they'd get a decent turnout if they offered speeds of 80Mb/s.
Anyway, don't bother with the Northumberland County Council roadworks page, it gets updated every two months or something, was dated 11th June or something last week.
Roadworks.org are reporting a load of works around the cabinet locations, most follow the description of:
Description: Install 1m of 1 way power duct in Footway,Install 2m of 1 way poly duct in Footway,Performing an 1excavation to expose existing power cable in Footway,Provide 1 Cabinet and base (NGA cabinets)
Suggesting that power was being pulled up and cabs are being installed over the next week or so.
I thought it might just be another place holder but certainly in Ovingham my friend is saying that there are works around the cabinet where they are bringing up cables so I'd expect cabs around Prudhoe to appear very shortly if they aren't already there.
I've spoken to Openreach who are expecting a live date of approximately mid-late October.
Finally, as a member of the Wylam exchange, I'm totally not Jealous.
