I'm not saying that they don't do a a FTTC based business unlimited with static ip product, but i couldn't find such advertised on their site, only unlimited WIFI access the business product with a data cap of 100gb is advertised but no unlimited
just found this (small print under the 100gb limited bit)A generous usage allowance which is plenty for most users (unlimited upgrade option available for £5 extra / month).
So £35 per month, for the privilege of having a static ip assuming they throttle/shape their business products too,

The unlimited being a £5 upgrade (possibly they missed this last time)

Try this page. That was the page i was looking at, found it (small print) unlike bt not advertising it in big print, they don't specify what the upload and download speeds they are offering will be, will it be 40/10 80/20/ 100/30 ?

I don't think there are any unlimited fibre broadband offers available in the UK.
There is probably only a fibre to cabinet service, not a genuine fibre-broadband, if you live in a bigger town. If that's what you are looking for, check out Sky broadband.

Only as a fibre-to-cabinet, not as a genuine fibre broadband. And even then it's only in certain areas. Still worth looking into it.

Hi,
Does anyone know what ISP offers the following:
Fibre Broadband + Unlimited + Static IP
Thanks. Everybody do far has assumed you can get Openreach FTTC or FTTP. Have you checked that, and if so, which?

Plusnet - although there's a one-off £5 for the static IP. Not unlimited, but a 250Gb allowance which is quite healthy!

Peak, 8am-midnight. But IIRC uploads are counted. Midnight to 8am is unlimited.
P2P and external FTP are throttled to 2Mbps 8pm-10pm. No other throttling.

The external FTP being throttled to me is insane. I can see why they're doing it, but FTP is generally more efficient than HTTP and you can easily download Gigs through HTTP as well. P2P is understandable.
Its the little things like that which keep me away from PlusNet.
e.g. At work I use FTP to download antivirus updates (200megabytes/day) via scripted FTP, and they're also available via HTTP, but using FTP avoids any transparent proxies which may hold on to the older version by mistake.

No reports of any throttling/shaping on BT Business. We have lots of BT Business ADSL services at the office (and client sites) and we max them out all the time. They are about £30/m plus the (unused!) voice line.

It is more expensive that that:
£35/month for 80/20
£5/month for Unlimited
£5/month for Static IP
£45 + VAT = £54
That is quite a lot!

BT gives you 5 IP addresses if you pay for Unlimited+Static IP.

Interesting that there are two pages with different info.
One says £5 for one or five,(main blurb), but another says one, five or thirteen at £5; £10 and £20 respectively, (how to add IP addresses to your account).

It may depend on you paying for the unlimited.

Plusnet - although there's a one-off £5 for the static IP. Not unlimited, but a 250Gb allowance which is quite healthy!
It is unlimited in such a way that once you exceed your allowance, you still have a connection, but it's throttled to 256kb/s and usenet / P2P / FTP is blocked as per this page.

|
|
|
Whilst I didn't have a static IP I was able to get through near 1TB / Month on BT Infinity Option 2 with no warning or capping.
I was able to circumvent the P2P traffic management easily with custom uTorrent settings (which BT banned me from their forum for publishing lol)
No static IP granted, are you able to achieve what you want with DynDNS or similiar?

With your requirements there needs to be a compromise somewhere if using one of the cheaper providers.
I had similar needs but 250gb is ample for me so went the Plusnet route.

i thought sky was unlimited.. But no static ip.
Sticky IP's though which is close enough when used with a service such as DynDNS.
The only time the IP address is likely to change with Sky is if the router is off for more than 30 minutes.

The only provider that meets the OP requirements so far is BT Infinity for Business.
