cabinet info please

my area has just been fttc enabled well most of it , and yes my cabinet hasnt been enabled as yet , i found the cabinet and its cabinet 60 or something , i cant find out if they are going to connect it or not.. could u please help me my postcode is pe30 4gx , area is pe30 ( KINGS LYNN)

Your cabinet p60 was not planned to be enabled in the December 2011 spreadsheet that was leaked to the public.

Since then their have been 5 more spreadsheets but these have remained private- its possible that your cabinet may have a FTTC twin installed via infill when Openreach returns to your exchange, their is some work happening atm- you can see this on roadworks.org

You can contact openereach via this email, add your phone number and address as they will ask for this, it will take between 5-10 days for them to respond due to the amount they recieve.

did you mean 2012 , not 2011 ? were did u find all this info ? tryed to phone openreach and bt but they just fob u off

I wonder if this is your cab, although it doesn't quite look like a BT PCP.

Problem you have is your estate is relatively new, and was possible not there when the initial roll out for your area was planned.

Did you email Openreach, as you have found out you get no where calling them.

Just hopping on this discussion...My cabinet has the following details:

Service Type Probability Speed Increase
FTTC 100% 3.5

At present I get 6mb on adsl2+. Does that mean I should expect to get 21mb on Fibre? Even though BT estimate me at 71mb?

The BT wholesale asdl checker estimate is the correct one that you can expect to see on FTTC, ignore the speed increase on the spreadsheet.

Brilliant thanks. Although I still doubt that I'll get anywhere near 71mb. Bt estimate my adsl2+ connection at 11mb, and I only get 6.
