@Yaz, couldn't agree more, these forums are so lacking in these modern times, you can't even post a picture.

@R4y It might be done as infill, there's fibre close by, so that would reduce the cost, best advice would be to email [email protected] and let us know what reply you get back.

Another option would be vfast, they have fast Wi-Fi in your area.

Thanks R0NSKI, I've fired them off a message, I asked them why the cabinet was missed out of the roll out and if they do intend to implement fibre. If they do not then I think vfast may be getting a new customer pretty soon...

Vfast will be adding new packages soon with up to 60mbit speeds, and being close to the Staner block of flats where the transmitter for Thanet is located (I assume you live near?) then you should have no problem getting a good signal.

I believe there are several transmitters around Thanet, but yes the cabinet he is asking about only covers the new builds next to Staner Court.

Edit, I did wonder if he could be to close, if it had to be line of site.

Is there anyone in the westbrook area not receiving the speeds promised. I am in Arglye Avenue NDTHA 13. I was told I would get 55Mb down and 18Mb up. All I am getting is 19 down and 8 up. I have two lines installed one for business and one for personal, both are the same speed.

My Sky Router states I have 40000 on it, but my downloading is not.

Are you using a wired connection to the router or using wireless?

If using wireless then try connecting via a network cable and see if it makes any difference.

Sure thing...

Might take a while...

Thank You for contacting Openreach about Fibre Broadband.

Unfortunately due to high volumes of enquiries there will be a delay in our reply.
Please bear with us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I would consider vFast, but as I live in the new apartments I don't think we are allowed to put a dish up.. and I can imagine it would be a nightmare to get it sorted frown

Cycled past yesterday, I see what you mean, but they have the Sky dishes poking out the top of the roofs so maybe an additional antenna can be attached.

Perhaps if there is no option of FTTC at that cabinet Vfast could actually enable the entire street? Not sure on the about the technicalities but could be worth a shot once BT come back with a clear answer?

Dear Cstark

Thank you for your interest in our Fibre Broadband project. We are rolling out one of the fastest and largest commercial deployments in the world. Our commercial deployment will have extended to 66% of the UK by the end of December 2014. We aim to extend this to 90% of the UK, in partnership with other sources of funding, e.g. local and National government.

The rollout is based on the commercial criteria for each cabinet. Unfortunately when assessed cabinet NDRAM25 did not met these and was not included in the rollout programme. This was because the cabinet was unable to provide a return on the Fibre to the Cabinet investment after construction and on-going running costs. Whilst we monitor line uptake on cabinets, there is no guarantee even when there are an increased number of connections that a particular cabinet would be put forward for reassessment under the commercial programme . Where cabinets are not commercially viable Government funding is available to Borough and County councils to improve fibre coverage and it is worth contacting your Council in relation to this.

Please register your interest on the website as this helps us assess local demand patterns:-
http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/

Regards
Peter Dean

Seems that my only option now then! Last time I spoke to a BT engineer they were struggling to get lines added... I'm guessing not many people have broadband round here!

May see if I can get a few folks to signup to the BT site and maybe write a letter to the council (may be pointless... never know!)

Slimj, any chance you can update the thread if the cabinets are installed as you're over that way please. If you look at my map (link below) and click on the cyan one's in Westgate it will show you when they are due to be installed - the cabs may be located around a corner away from the cabinet.

Those of you waiting patiently for NDRAM 41 to go live, it looks like some more work is scheduled for the 24 - 25 January.

Swap ducts from left to right hand side of cab to allow for copper installation

Don't know if that means they installed them wrong to start with, but thats what it sounds like. The copper would be the tie cables to the PCP.

Thanks rjh321, I'll update the map later.

NDRAM 41 had it's scheduled work carried out last week, so hopefully that one won't be much longer before it's live.

I also need to check the other non live Ramsgate & Broadstairs cabs as I didn't do it this weekend.

Does anyone know if the Westgate cabs which were scheduled have been installed?

I'm going down that way this morning so I'll have a look.

I've now checked and there is no sign of any work around these cabinets (NDWES 4, 6 & 9), i.e. no fibre twins are installed.

I also see that NDWES 6 is re-scheduled to be installed between 14th - 20th February.

NDTHA 27 has now gone live. That's the good news! The bad news is that the other remaining cabinets in Margate have moved to a date of 31st March 2014. This seems to be a new policy of BT's.

Thanks, map updated.

Another Westgate one has been scheduled, NDWES 7 18 to 22 February. Whilst the previous 3 are scheduled for installation from tomorrow.

It does make sense to change the expected dates to much later, why disappoint people every three months, much better to extend the time frame, then if they are ready before then it's a pleasant surprise.

The fibre cabinet for NDWES 7 has been installed on the other side of Royal Esplanade and linked to the old cabinet (they have dug up the road and there is a clear track between the two cabinets). Power doesn't seem to be connected yet.

I hope to check on the other scheduled Westgate cabinets in the next few days.

Yes you can, as the new HUGE button, but many people dislike it. You can also link to the speed test results page, which is better in my view.

LOL

Just checked the roadworks.org website, and the BT work start dates for NDWES PCP 4 and 7 says 30th December 1899.

I knew BT were slow, but not that slow.

Just driven through the St.Lawrence roundabout and it looks like NDRAM 1 has had it's fibre twin installed. There was at least two BT vans there. Hadn't seen it scheduled on roadworks.org either, unless it was put in previously and I hadn't seen it just by the crossing barriers.

NDWES 7 is being worked on now, probably for the power installation.

NDWES6 - I practically drive past this every day but do not see any twin cabinet? Where abouts is this? The main cab is very close to the corner.

Ronski, just noticed that NDWES 3 is not quite correct on your map, this cab is by the piggybank nursery, wondered why I couldn't see it next to our office! laugh

If driving past NDWES 6 you may well wonder where it is, as it isn't in Elm Grove (where the original cabinet is installed). It's actually in Harold Avenue, on the other side of St Mildred's Road.

Sorry, but NDRAM 42 was not included in the initial roll out.

It may be covered under the councils BDUK scheme, but I'm not sure where to find out that info.

You might want to try www.vfast.co.UK they have wireless which covers a lot of Ramsgate and gives good speeds.

NDTHA 8 used to be in a building site but that finished ages ago. It's now easily accessible so no obvious reason why it hasn't been done. Perhaps BT don't want the system swamped with new fibre connections as I believe that that cabinet serves the Arlington House tower block, where there are apparently 142 flats, but I don't know how many would consider moving to fibre.

NDTHA 8 is still showing an availability date of 31st March 2014.

It would sound like it, if they've already got 1 cabinet there. Good to see it is a joined-up set of roadworks, with everyone present.

Looking at street-view though, just along Northdown Road - that's the first PCP I've seen that has been deliberately bricked in!

Hi Chris,

Cab 21 has always been scheduled, it was in the leaked December 2011 spreadsheet, I've no idea why it's been delayed so long. Last August Open Reach confirmed it was scheduled for delivery in phase 9a delivery December 2012, but it never materialised.

The information I got that it was due to be installed this week was from the www.roadworks.org website. When looking on there you need to make sure 'Future Roadworks' is ticked. Basically any road works needs a permit, and they can all be viewed on that website.

It looks like the cabinet has not been installed, and the schedule information has gone from the roadworks site, this is nothing to worry about, I've seen this happen to many a cabinet, but eventually they get installed.

The only place that you can clarify any information is by emailing [email protected] , give them your address/phone number and they will reply, although it may take some time, you may even have to send a couple of emails, if you don't hear anything within a couple of weeks.

Let us know when you get a reply.

thank you ronski.

one website I had been using (not sure how accurate it is) was http://dslchecker.bt.com/

until last wednesday when I checked, it had shown FTTC scheduled for 30th June 2013.

Now it says Fibre multicast scheduled for March 2014.

Beginning to fear that this is now the likelyhood.

I have emailed to the address you have give, so will let you know how it goes.

thank you

That is BTs checker, so is a good one to use.

I wouldn't worry too much about the 2014 dates, there were quite a few complaint's to the asa about the dates keep changing, so all BT did was change virtually all date's to March 2014. It doesn't mean thats when it will be ready, it could be anytime.

Once they install your FTTC cab, it won't take long to get it up and running, just keep an eye open for it's installation, it's outside 1a Sandwich Rd.

"Fibre multicast" is not the same as fibre (either FTTC or FTTP).

It is the ability for BT (or other ISPs) to send TV content once to the entire cabinet en-mass, rather than individual subscribers. It is a bit like "broadcast" mode.

FTTC works perfectly well for internet access without multicast.

I was wondering the other day what was happening in Westgate as a lot of cabinets are connected, just not live. I sent an email to Openreach and received this response this morning.

Thank you for your enquiry about fibre broadband, you are connected to Westgate exchange cabinet ND/WES 9. The build of this cabinet is in delay due to blocked underground ducts which are preventing the provision of the fibre cable from the exchange to the new fibre cabinet. We are working on this and we are currently predicting that the cabinet will go live around mid-September.

I appreciate their response which is fair.....

Take the part in bold with a pinch of salt.

There is often little delay in processing roadworks permits as they must be processed in a certain timeframe (Kent Permit Scheme page 33).

Keep an eye on the www.roadworks.org website to see those permits that have been processed.

Everything else aside, Openreach will have there own factors to take into account before a permit is even requested that may add to the timeframe for any kind of works be it FTTC or not.

I contacted Openreach regarding NDRAM21 last week as there had been no sign of any progress on putting the new cabinet in. This was the response;

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Fibre Broadband.

The exchange that your line is fed from Ramsgate is enabled and accepting orders for cabinets that have already been deployed.
However the cabinet feeding your line PCP21 is not due for deployment until end-November 2013.
Please be aware that the engineering work required to commission a Fibre Broadband cabinet is often complex and should conditions on the ground change, there is a risk that the delivery date may be effected. Please track the date for commissioning through the line checker of your chosen service provider.
Please note that many sites that show Fibre Broadband availability dates only show when the Exchange goes live and not individual cabinets off that particular exchange.

So we will have to wait and see. Hopefully its September and not November, but I wont be holding my breath on either date. Hope the info is of some use.

We have another two cabinets confirmed as live, these went live since my last post above.

NDBRO 26, which has been installed since may 2012 has finally gone live!
NDWES 02 has also gone live.

This leaves 6 scheduled cabinets to go, and whatever gets done under the Kent BDUK project. Further information on this can be found here and you can check your postcode here. I'm not sure how accurate the postcode checker is, as it doesn't use the full postcode, but gives number of premises and percentage covered.

I'll try emailing them and see if they would let me know which cabinets are planned.

According to our checks the following cabinets are now live:

NDRAM 01             NDTHA 01             NDBRO 01             NDWES 02
NDRAM 02             NDTHA 02             NDBRO 02             NDWES 04

It looks like BT Open Reach have finally scheduled the work for installing the fibre cabinet for PCP21 Work is scheduled between 10th and 23rd December. (thanks for the link Ronski) hopefully it wont take too long to go live. My current 2Mbps is getting a bit tedious.

I took a stroll up too see how work was progressing. There plinth was there with the ducts running to the old cabinet. A truck was parked up (on a Saturday!)with the new cabinet on the back of it. So I asked one if the chaps doing the work how it was progressing. He said they will power it up on Tuesday (17th) so it looks like its going ok. Hopefully it wont take too long to commission.

Drove past lunch time today and BT had a roll of what I presume to be fibre tubing going in by the white house near the Lord of the Manor roundabout, and a winch pulling it from opposite Chalk Lane. So it doesn't look like you'll be waiting too much longer.

I've noticed some roadworks listed at the Lord of the Manor as BDUK, I wonder if this is cab 21 fibre being connected.

Description : Signing and guarding only for 1 night working between 21.00 and 06.00 for Bduk network

Also power connection is scheduled for 11 to 17 February.

I can now confirm that NDTHA 8 has been installed. The roadworks are still in place so I imagine that it hasn't yet been fully connected. It's not next to the original cabinet but on the other side of All Saints' Avenue, nearer to Arlington House, but on the roundabout.

Indeed it is almost a year, 2 May 2013 the cabinet was confirmed installed. Your not alone though NDWES 5 & 11 have not even been installed yet, and 1 & 12 are not even scheduled as far as I'm aware. Unfortunately I've no idea what the hold up is, at least it's on it's way.

NDTHA 8 has still not been enabled. The date is now 30 Sept 2014 but I'm sure it will happen well before that.
An unrelated interesting fact is that Virgin Media have appeared in the area. They are doing some work (appears on the roadworks.org site) in the Enterprise Road area of Margate. This is the industrial estate beside Halfords/Hornby. There is a BT cabinet there which has never been scheduled for upgrade to fibre. Halfords are apparently moving to the old BHS site at Westwood Cross. Not sure what Virgin Media are up to.
Edit: Just noticed that Margate is on the Virgin Media Business Core Network map.

Cable was installed to many parts of Margate in the nineties, I remember them laying the cables in Tivoli Road when I lived there. I'm guessing these cables will now be owned by Virgin, as to whether they are any use I've no idea.

If the industrial estate is covered by Virgin business then I guess it's purely related to that.

Hi all,

I does anyone know when NDBRO38 (next to Travellodge at westwood Haine Road) will become fibre enabled?

I've just moved into the new estate at Westwood and thinking it was a new estate with lots of new houses broadband would be excellent there, man I was wrong! Coming from the centre of Ramsgate where I could get 50Mbps no worries it's a shock to get only 2Mbps!

I had VFast in to do a signal check but they can't get line of sight to the repeater in Manston due to a number of trees in the way and I haven't got a big enough chainsaw to cut them down lol!

Hi Andy, I was appalled when I recently checked what these new builds could get. New developments like this should really have FTTP. If I was you I would make lots of noise in the show home, put up signs in your windows/garden advising people not to buy and why, then perhaps the developer will get their act together. If they had FTTP it would also be a major selling point.

As for NDBRO38 it might get fibre under the BDUK project, the making Kent quicker checker give the following result for your postcode.

Based on current project projections, the 5153 premises in CT10 2B should receive the following after rollout:

- 99% of premises should get fibre and/or superfast broadband
- 1% of premises should get basic broadband

Given the project size, it is not possible to plan every area at the same time, so some areas will be planned and enabled before others. Your area is planned for Phase 7 and work should start between Jul-15 and Nov-15.

Surprised you can't get Vfast there, they have quite a lot of transmitters in the area, one at Bradgate Caravan Park, another on the top of Stanner Court, not sure where the others are. I have a friend in Manston Court Rd, can't even get broadband as he fed from Manston, but has been with Vfast for ten years now.

The Virgin Media work isn't for consumer use. They have been putting in a lot of fibre runs (including dark fibre) into various places in East Kent including along Wincheap in Canterbury but again, not for normal consumer use.

Hi Ronski,

Thanks for that, it's as I feared. Typical Thanet council, lets put loads of houses in without thinking about the infrastructure!!!

I have emailed VFast asking if they would be thinking about putting another repeater in at Westwood for these new houses (I think there's going to be 800 in the end), will see what response I get. Unfortunately the exact position of my house makes it impossible to see Bradgate due to trees frown

Fingers crossed I wont be back in the slow lane for too long but I'm not holding my breath!

Andy.

It's not Thanet Council (although they should have made it a condition of the planning application), it's the developers. You really should have words with the developers, the cost of laying FTTP to the site split between 800 houses would have been minimal.

Your other option perhaps is to use 3G, I get 21Mbps down and 2.4Mbps up on my phone on the Wimpy Estate.

I've emailed both the council and BT to see if they have any plans, not holding my breath though lol!

I'm not so worried about FTTP (although that would have been lovely!), it's more fibre to the cabinet and the number of households this cabinet will eventually service. 800 new homes over the next few years going up there (we are only phase 1 of 4).

It's a real shame about VFast but you can't do anything (legally!) about trees in the way. I've emailed them to ask if they would consider putting a repeater in to service this area but have had no response as yet.

In reply to a post by R0NSKI:

Wow that's super-quick, unfortunately I don't get that speed at mine (I've got both 3 and 02 3G access but they're both in the realm of 1-2Mbps. I presume yours is good because of the mast on the water tower near you!

Shame you can't get VFast, there's a lot of repeaters in the area, I have one on my chimney in Manston village and there's another just down the road, I'm sure there are a few others dotted near the village too. So very surprised they couldn't get you a signal.

If there's enough call for it due to fibre not being enabled then I'm sure VFast will get a repeater positioned so you can connect.

Can't believe it wasn't done when there's been plans for housing by WWX for ages - such short sightedness by the council! Perhaps get on to Roger Gale and say it's unacceptable.

Been with VFast since So Broadband, been very happy with the service.

Mast is either at the water tower or even closer on the industrial estate.

Just tried to phone my brother in law who works for vfast, but looks like he has changed his number. I'm sure he said they had a repeater on WWX. If I remember I'll see if the wife has his new number.

Probably the best answer is to phone them.

I've just checked two friends numbers who are on that cabinet and it's showing as available for both. They both already have it though.

However, when I check another person's address in Crow Hill, who does not have it, the checkers says the cabinet has no capacity, so looks like it will need another line card/tie cables/cabinet depending on how full it is. The date that it will be available is shown as 11 June, so probably just a line card.

It looks like they have roadworks scheduled for NDTHA 8.

A254 Belgrave Road, Margate, Kent
16 July 18 July
Delays likely Traffic control (Stop/Go boards)
Works location: Marine Gardens Junction Of Belgrave Road On Traffic Island Beside Clock Tower Margate
Works description: Thanet (Pcp8) - 270270 - Bduk - Blockages ? Excavate Onto Bt Ducts For The Clearance Of Duct Blockages In Fw To Facilitate Spine Cabling Works

I'm sure they've done works here before, they've certainly put fibre through previously. Also looks like this is being done under BDUK.

Hi Ronski,

I've heard back from VFast and they have "yet to get permission from Thanet Council for a lamppost repeater". Not sure how that takes place.

I also had a letter from the director of executive complaints at BT Openreach (after an email to local MP) stating that "it is not economically viable to fibre enable this cabinet".

Arrgh, stuck in the slow lane, at this rate 4G will be available before wired broadband!

BDUK cab's are being carried out via Openreach and this is normally part of the permit description.

I heard some news about Orbital installing FTTC but nothing in detail until I read the news on the TBB front page.

I will make some further enquiries as it only appears that they are going to be linking in with existing cab's already deployed/being deployed rather than installing there own cab's. As for any backhaul works etc. I would hazard a guess that Openreach would permit for customer works as per normal irrespective of the ISP thus Roadworks.org won't show anything special that singles out Orbital fibre works.

I guess that they are having to do this as more areas they've covered with wireless get enabled for FTTC. We used to be with Orbital at work on ADSL, but they hadn't sorted out FTTC when out cabinet was enabled. They were switching to TT back haul, but there was various delays and wasn't going to have an FTTC product until they had switched. My brother in law works for them, has done for years, but I rarely see him.

Cabinet 2 Minster, and cabinet 12 Birchington which covers St. Nicholas at Wade are both scheduled.

Ramsgate PCP 25 looks like it's currently being installed.

Broadstairs PCP 17 (Pysons Rd Ind Est) is now showing as live, as is Broadstairs PCP 21 (Botany Rd)

I've not had chance to check other scheduled cabinets, time is very short at the moment.

Live cabinets that I'm aware of.

I don't think BT are fitting ECI cabs like the rest of Thanet anymore, as the two I've seen in Birchington look like Huwei cabs, also from what I've seen on the forums. Perhaps they are expecting higher uptake in Manston so fitted the bigger version.

I've completed my walk around Westgate. I can confirm that all the green ones on your map are present and making fan noises. Cabinet 10 also has its FTTC twin installed but there were no fan sounds.
As far as the blue ones on your map are concerned, these are more interesting. Cabinets 11 & 12 have unusual small squat deep cabinets close by without top vent slots but they have 230v stickers. Cabinets 1 & 5 have large high deep cabinets close by also without top vents but with 230v stickers. I've seen no other FTTC cabinets locally that look like these ones, so perhaps they are for some other purpose. However, I'm used to ECI cabinets so perhaps these are Huawei ones.

I'm now pretty sure that these are Huawei FTTC cabinets, in which case it confirms the suspicion that BT are now mixing cabinet types in the same area, or perhaps are moving entirely to Huawei. The existing Westgate cabinets are ECI, as is mine in Margate.

I had to go to Birchington last night, so took the opportunity to check all the cabinets. They are all installed and I'm sure they are all the larger Huawei cabs, except one which is scheduled to be replaced with a larger cab. I'll update the map later.

Do you mean that an in-service FTTC cabinet is being replaced with a larger variant, rather than having a second box added?

It's Birchington NDBIR 11, which isn't live yet.

Taken from roadworks.org

BIRCHINGTON - PCP11 - 291863 - BDUK - 10 DAY POWER AND DSLAM:STREET CABINET & POWER INSTALLATION. SLAM CABINET TO BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH THE LARGE DSLAM CABINET IN SAME LOCATION AS ORIGINAL

All original cabs around here are ECI cabs, it seems the latest ones to go in in Westgate, Birchington, Minster and Manston are Huawei. These have all been done under BDUK.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know where cabinet 4 is in Monkton, can't see it on Ronski's map, only cabinet 1 near the school (Seamark close)? Looking at buying a property in Monkton connected to cab 4, and would like to know where cab 4 is located and if it's being enabled shortly. smile

Cheers

Not sure if there has been any Openreach emails about this for BDUK. I'll check next week.

**Edit**
Checked and couldn't see any emails for PCP4, only two for Margate PCP44 and Ramsgate PCP 46

That one already has an FTTC cab installed I believe, it was scheduled on roadworks.org on the 1-09-14, and listed as Minster PCP 1. Installation was scheduled for 27 August to 8 September. I thought it odd as there is another cabinet in Minster which is also PCP 1.

Perhaps it was just listed incorrectly, I'll add a note it may well be PCP 4

Thanks for the heads up on the others.

Just checked the area around NDTHA 44 and it seems that NDTHA 33 is live. I checked the number for Peacocks (01843 228641) and it shows as FTTC available on Cabinet 33. Actually, Peacocks appears to be nearer to NDTHA 44, but not a great distance either way.

I've just checked and the streetworks records confirm power and cab were installed between 27/8 and 9/9 but the works description doesn't mention the PCP number. Side of 37 Seamark Close.

PCP 44 is in for a 288 cab and PCP 46 a 96 cab.

I can now confirm that is PCP 4 by Seamark Close, the PCP shows under CT12 4JJ and the DLSAM shows under CT124JH on the wholesale full address checker.

Although the strange thing is that 1 Seamark Close CT124JH is served by cabinet 1, which is in Minster. I think that must be a database error, as other addresses in Seamark Close are served by PCP 4

Yes, it has a cabinet installed now, PCP2 is also in. Not seen the other 2 Minster cabs yet but they're probably in place now.

Hi Yaz, here's the one's I know of which don't appear to be planned yet.

NDMTH 5
NDMTH 6 - I think this is round the corner from the Spitfire museum but need to confirm.
NDRAM 52
NDRAM 42
NDRAM 47
NDRAM 43
NDBRO 38
NDBRO 37
NDBRO 32
NDBRO 9
NDBRO 35
NDTHA 43

NDMTH 8 appears to be planned as it shows a DSLAM under postcode CT12 4AJ, I need to locate this and add it to my map.

I now have a tool which can scan all postcodes, so I'll soon be able to check to see if the above are planned, and I'm presuming that if a DSLAM shows up it must be planed smile

I'm sure theirs a cabinet on the other side of the roundabout from Minster at the end of "Mount Pleasant Road"? Can't imagine they'd ever put a fibre cabinet in though.

NDMTH 6 - Yes, there's a cabinet where you have pinpointed on your map.

I've now added 8 cabinets for Minster and I don't think there are any others. I'm pretty sure the cabinet at the end of Mount Pleasant Rd isn't a BT cabinet, it doesn't look right.

It also looks like NDMTH 6 is scheduled as I can find a DSLAM on the checker.

Edit: Just found Minster cabinets 9 & 10

NDMTH 1 - Installed
NDMTH 3 - Installed

I assume NDMTH 8 is also in but did not pass this on a drive yesterday so cannot confirm just yet.

Not Thanet, but noticed Preston had a cabinet installed, good to see villages being prepared ready for fibre!

Just playing with the BT DSL Checker site and notice that the cabinets in Sarre and St. Nicholas appear to be live.

Birchington in general appears to be live now (Cab 7 was when I checked for a friend).

I also checked our Stourmouth address, Dog and Duck, Plucks Gutter and it says that this is connected to Cabinet 11 Minster Exchange, I can't find this cabinet. Do we know where it is?

Seems a long way from Minster yet reported line speeds on the DSL Checker website for DSL look quite high (4mb+).

All of the Birchington cabinets except 4,13 & 14 are live, as is NDRAM 25 serving Meridian estate.

No idea where Minster NDMTH 11 is, that one seems to elude me, doesn't show up in any of my scans/records. If anybody knows where this is please let me know.

NDRAM 42, which is located on Stirling way in Ramsgate appears to now be scheduled.

Looks like NDBIR 13 is now live. My uncle is connected to this cab and can now get Infinity, however, he's just over 2km by road from the cabinet so line stats are suggesting around 5mb.

Still waiting for Minster exchange to go live... hopefully not too much longer. crazy

Not that any body probably reads this thread now but...

All installed fttc cabinets from the Minster exchange are now live (cabs 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8).

Unfortunately, it seems some parts of Monkton cannot get service yet as they're too far from cab 1 (Foxhunter caravan park to near Seamark Close), I guess this area will have to wait for the next phase.

I'm in Monkton on Cab 4 (Minster) but live approx 1.5-1.7km from cab by cable length, I'm due to be connected in a couple of weeks, expected to be 13-21mbit according to DSL checker site. Currently on 3.5mbit DSL some 5Km from exchange, so hopefully line quality is pretty good. *touches wood*

Just following up on this, now connected to FTTC and have been for a month or so. Connection has been rock solid and connected at between 19-23mbit. Pretty happy with that considering distance.

One thing that annoyed me with VFast was that the connection would be ok during quiet times (ie, after midnight when no one else was using the network) but during peak times I would be lucky to see 10mbit with crazy pings. FTTC, however, seems to be 20mbit at whatever time of day with sub 15ms pings. smile

That cab was installed in February 2014, can't understand why it took so long when fibre must have run very close by to serve other cabs.

Cab 12 in Westgate is now also live, but not yet cab 10. Cab 36 in Broadstairs which they very recently moved is also live.

Cab 13 in Birchington is also live
