FTTC become 'unavailable' at my location

[link to this post]
I am on the Wilmslow, Cheshire exchange. For about a year FTTC has shown as available at my home telephone & post code. However recently (via PlusNet) I was informed that only ADSL was available. The BT wholesale checker indicates that FTTC will become available 8 Jan 2013.

Does this mean that all the original capacity was taken and they are making more lines available? I planned to upgrade in mid 2013 (currently on fixed term contracts with O2 and BT). Is there a danger that I won't be able to do this? Should I switch while capacity is available. I guess this is the sort of area with a relatively high take-up.

It never crossed my mind that this could happen. I would be grateful for any insight as to what is happening / might happen in the future.

most likely due to capacity.

BT Infinity 2 Since Dec 2012 - Estimate 65.9/20 - Sync 80/20
