My mate has FTTP and see's speeds greater than his max a lot. Similar to how virgin users on Cable do.

As the IP Profile for FTTC is ~ 96.79%, I conclude you meant it would be the same for FTTP
There are some overheads on a VDSL line that may not apply to FTTP, so the 96.79% may not be applicable.

The MTU size affects the FTTC throughput % of sync, for example.
