DSLAM Auto Learning?

I don't really understand the auto-learning and what purpose it achieves (after the initial 10 days).

If you look at my profile, for no apparent reason on the 22nd January it dropped to 76mb then I had a power cut (which I thought would make it drop even further) and it went back up to 80mb!

Most odd. What criteria does it use?

the 10 day auto learning doesnt exist on FTTC. There is no MSR.

I assume the figures you looking at are supplied by your isp, the problem is without the modem stats you cant assume its down to DLM, it could easily be a lower line speed due to noise and you could well still be on 6db fast path.

As far as I know DLM manages the line based on the consistency and amount of CRC errors and if excessive disconnections.

Looks like Zen information layout. So I checked his past posts and that's who he's with.

The dips before Jan 22 were explained in this thread in case they distract anyone.
