I don't see how this helps - they will just chuck in a 6 month date rather than a 3 month date. Still might not mean much.

So due to the ASA complaints from people like Bob they now have 6 month windows. I did suggest that people might prefer no dates be issued...

Me neither, it's like re-timetabling the trains for later so more are on time.

It's a bit 1984 to respond to a request for greater accuracy with less precision.

the real issue seems to be delays or do people think BT have been just moving dates forward 3 months automated knowing it wont be completed?

My date slipped once, I then got a date from the nga email address and it was just 5 days out.

BT Infinity 2 Since Dec 2012 - Estimate 65.9/20 - Attainable peak 110/36 - Current Sync 71/20

That old "Expectation Management" chestnut.... better to under promise and over deliver!

If the ASA and BT want to lead this old fashioned bureaucratic operational model and adsorb the cost of replying to high volumes of NGA Enquires then so be it.

After all, the Senior Exec's/Management in NGA Openreach need to secure their bonus' right?
