BT and EDF dispute causing me to have no internet

Hi, after having an intermittent fiber broadband service for a couple of weeks, I have discovered that BT are having a depute with EDF over who is responsible for supplying power to my local fiber cabinet.

Is there anything I can do about this?

I'm very annoyed with not having any internet for most of the time, especially as I have stuff I need to do.

My ISP is SKY.

Has the fibre cabinet been damaged?

Yes But BT fixed it, now there running it off batteries or something.

When they ran out it took them 3 or 4 days to come out and replace them.

That makes sense. When a cabinet is damaged the power company (DNO) often are required to disconnect the supply. Once the cabinet has been replaced BT have to request a reconnection. Some DNOs are quicker at reconnecting than others . Openreach should be regularly changing the batteries to keep service going. Where is the cabinet, not Hastings by chance.

I doubt it'll be EDF as they are an energy supplier not a DNO. But it could be UK Power Networks as EDF sold their DNO to them couple of years ago.
