1st areas to be Bridgwater, East of Exeter, Torridge and West Somerset.

To cover as many as possible the order will be FTTC, FTTC with rearrangment and then FTTP.

1 year from now, I wonder just how far they will have taken the actual infrastructure

Very thankful my Cab's live now as if I had to rely on this lot to get it to me I'd be more than a little concerned

All D&S exchanges formerly shown as NC on the Openreach map http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/ now show as 'Under Evaluation' apart from Postbridge (85 premises), Wheathill (380), Holford (400) and Chelston (3000, strange).

Will have to keep an eye for my parents - they are on Banwell, WSM exchange

(current quoted ADSL speed 09.9MB!)

Which has now shown up under "UE"

Chelston (3000, strange), have you spelt the exchange right as it does not appear on the Openreach or Samknows exchange map.

I have seen what looks like a survey team out.

Thanks, not sure how i missed that though does seem odd why its not in the commercial rollout or via the BDUK project, could end up in the commerical rollout once they have finished the other nearby exchanges including Torqay.

Where did you get the info about the first areas to be upgraded as i am in the Torridge area and my local exchange is tagged as under evaluation on the openreach site.

Slides on the D&S site. They say they will be announcing more details soon.

Location: Exmouth, and on a cabinet serving 120 odd properties deemed "not commercially viable" by BT - Hoping CD&S will fund an infill cabinet as there are quite a few people I know my cabinet and other cabs on this exchange that are in the same boat.

I am in Hatherleigh, BT have started the works now by the looks of it digging holes marking pavements etc.
Had a look on the openreach site and there will be FTTC and FTTP here.

Yeah they did Kennford/Exminster recently and apparently my area was down to be upgraded to FTTP but due to some issues it was scaled back to FTTC instead and the cabinet is down to be installed within the next 2 weeks (may already of been done not actually looked).

Still waiting on a higher resolution image for projected coverage, but I imported the existing one as a layer in google earth and it looks like I'm going to be left out :/ My exchange is down to be upgraded in june next year but it appears that the cabinet covering my area is not going to be done.

Fingers crossed that they decide to run FTTP out over the poles to me and the other people on this side of the village (I'd guess somewhere around 30 houses, scattered about), but I doubt it'll happen.
