Ring Wire Terminal 3

I have just had fibre installed and Openreach have connected terminal 3 on the faceplate. Is that wire necessary anymore or does it not make the difference it used to on ADSL

If the VDSL faceplate is fitted it should make no real difference

It isn't necessary for most phones or telephony devices. It's filtered in the faceplate so should be of little consequence.
