I experimented with his earlier scripted version and extended the timeouts, but no help.
Most odd. Probably no time to look deeper before holidays ....
Mine is similar but uses SendKeys rather than piping input.

The new programs use a different (direct) method of logging in than the earlier script versions.

It might be useful to see relevant details from the various error logs from the times you did attempt to use the program(s) on the HG622, especially these lines:-

I wouldn't have thought there can be that much that needs tweaking to make them work with both the HG612 & HG622.

Does direct access via Telnet/PuTTy etc. still use admin, admin, sh to get to the Busybox shell where the usual xdslcmd commands can be run?

I didn't expect any change to be needed.
The admin/admin/sh sequence is still correct (as shown by my script above still working).

Just hangs after the In switch, from HG612_stats.ini, Mode = extensive line.

No xlogfile.txt file created.

Installed yesterday.
A little plugging in and out as I tried to get configuration right (see earlier post).
I needed to put back the old modem a couple of times to browse the internet for configuration hints, so probably 6 or more modem disconnects in an hour or so.
I saw slight degradation in max attainable speeds after HG612; but could have been normal max speed variance.

This morning I find a significantly slower sync (from 71080 Kbps to 61081 Kbps),
and also for the first time ever upload sync is lowered (from 20000 Kbps to 18665 Kbps), and interleaving on upload (D: 653, delay:7).
I suspect this is DLM at work after my playing about yesterday while installing it.
Big shame I can't get the stats collection to work for now.

About to go on holiday but others in house so it will be left on.
I'll leave it be and see if things return to where they were with the HG622.

Compared to HG612/HomeHub for me, apart from those issues above which will probably iron out:
+ single box
+ ability to set DNS properly
- no screen to view connected devices and their wireless speeds
- very short mains cable makes it awkward to put it where I want

Hi

I was one of the lucky 10 and have been testing it..... It performs well on WAN throughput with no problem passing the full approx 74/18 (I am close to the cab) and so far am quite impressed. The GUI seems much more responsive than the HG612.

One slight irritation though. I wonder if anyone has managed to configure NAT / port mapping to allow access to the external IP address from within the internal network. After much Googling it would seem as if this router is not capable of it, requiring NAT Reflection or DNAT configs. It is not essential but would be useful for access to IP Cams on mobile devices without changing the address (ie local or external).

Further to my last comments, I have just done some further tests that may help diagnose.
May be irrelevant because you say you have more direct login method from the new code than from the script.
However, it does indicate a slightly different way of arranging the login sequence;
even though the userid/password are the same as before.
It may be that the new login method is failing because of this different detail.

The following line (entered from the old script directory after 'set path=%path%;..\apps', and obviously derived by simplification from the old script)

If you watch as it happens, you can see the effect of the first 'sleep 2' before the login 'admin' is displayed.
However, it then gives the 'Login incorrect' message without waiting for the second sleep., so it never sees the second 'admin' as a password.

It then prompts again for Login: and treats the second 'admin' as a second login attempt, and the 'exit' as a third login attempt.

I'm hoping to soon have access to a HG622 for testing purposes.

Hopefully, I'll soon have a solution that will work with both the HG612 & HG622 via a single program.

Excellent, thanks, and thanks again for the really useful program.
I'm pretty sure getting a common 612/622 version won't be too hard once you have a 622 to test with.
(Off on holiday for a week, so won't be responding to any questions such as 'does this new version work for you'.)

It seems that we have sussed it now (thanks asbokid), using just the one set of programs for both the HG612 & HG622 on VDSL2 connections, automatically detecting which modem is in use.

I'll continue testing for another couple of days before asking RONSKI to upload the amended programs (also including a few other minor 'improvements/additions').
