How do I find out if I will ever get upgrade to Fibre

It's so frustrating, houses a few doors away can get FTTC as they are on a different cabinet, but I still can't. Looking at https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
It doesn't mention a date when my cab will get FTTC,

Is there a way to find out if there are plans to upgrade it?
RG41 3PQ on Exchange WOKINGHAM is served by Cabinet 79

Or will FTTCoD be an option for me, if they can just hook me up to the cab they have already enabled down the road?

Wokingham PCP 79 = Not planned therefore your neighbour most likely connects to PCP 27 as do 56.41% of lines in your post code.

Probably noting you can do until BT 'want' to enable PCP 79.

Ok, that was what I feared. So will FTTPoD be an option, or does that still require that the cab be enabled and it's just about being too far away?

Yes I can get Virgin Cable and had been considering switching to Virgin. But would be for BB and maybe phone only. There are a few Sky channels and features I wouldn't want to lose by moving to Virgin.

With VM available it makes it less viable if the cabinet serves only a few lines.

Post code search shows that just 44 addresses are served by PCP 79.

RG413PQ = 41 * 56% = 23
RG413TT = 12
RG413TR = 9
= 44

If everyone had broadband and BT got 50% (VM the other 50%) that is only 22 lines = not viable with a normal FTTC cabinet. It might be viable in the future with a much smaller cabinet or dslam that fits in the existing cabinet?

Just switch to VM and tell BT where they can stick their line.
