There's a DSLAM on Palatine Ave, LA1 4HD. There also looks like a PCP halfway down York Road, and another on the corner with Palatine by the postbox.
Putting that postcode into the
Address checker (not the postcode checker)returns a list of addresses within that postcode, that can be selected to get the speed information.
One entry that can be selected gives:
Address STREET SIDE DSLAM CAB NMBAAW, PALATINE AVE, LANCASTER, LA1 4HD on Exchange LANCASTER is served by Cabinet 11
with a speed estimate of 80/20 (like all the addresses I checked on that postcode)
If that DSLAM is served by cabinet 11, then it presumably is the partner for cab 11!
Looks like 11 to me ...

As for the distance that 80/20 can go...
I'm on a 400 metre line, and that was easily capable of 80/20 when first installed 18 months ago (nearer 90Mbps). If I re-sync'ed now, the effect of crosstalk would drop my speed to 72Mbps - so 400 metres is a very rough guide to the boundary of an 80/20 speed.
