Removed from BT Broadband and Wholesale checkers

[link to this post]

So NGA gave my CAB a May date. Have been checking religiously all month and now today on the wholesale and BT broadband checker there's no longer any sign of FTTC. This is despite it saying I can get 30 down 6 up for the last 6 months.

What could this mean?

It often means it has been removed from the planning database and will appear on the available database within a couple of days. Not guaranteed, but frequent.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 54.2/15.2Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Or your constant checking has worn out the part of the hard drive at BT where your cab is stored and now there is no record that it even exists, its likely not to get done at all!

Whoa,
This has happend to us aswell, although slightly different.
We got the fttc dates after they started the install of a fttc cabinet at the end of the road.
The Cabinet is not installed upto the power being present, nothing inside as of yet.

Now when we check the fttc dates are gone.

I really hope that what RobertoS is saying is true.

The mention of fibre often shows up, sometimes before a cab is even installed, then it just disappears again, not always, just sometimes. In my experience it doesn't mean it's about to go live.

My phone number doesn't, and never has mentioned fibre. When I search by postcode it says 31-mar-14. The cabinet has been installed over the past couple of weeks. I don't know if the fibre has been blown or the dlsam installed yet but I did look in the whole in the ground the other day and saw the power cable connecting the cabinet was done. Couldn't hear any sound from inside it.

You should never check by just the postcode always use the full address checker, or phone number checker.

Last week both the postcode and address showed FTTC for 31 March 2014. Now it's not listed for the address but still has 2014 for the postcode.

I know, I'm just curious to know why a postcode might give a date and phone number doesn't

Because not all the cabinets in that postcode are scheduled for fibre, and the phone number is connected to one that isn't?

There are times when the BT database goes totally doolally.

Back when my cabinet was due to go live (like others in the locality), but didn't until 3 months later, the database changed multiple times over the course of a week, including disappearing.

To me, it looked like a set of daily updates went wrong, so the whole set were scrubbed until they could be restored during the next day's updates

Possibly. I've checked a few other people in town. A workmate who is also connected to the same cabinet as me which gives the same result. Postcode = 2014, Phone number = nothing. I also tried my grandparents who are on a different cabinet. Postcode = 2014, phone number = nothing.

The checker dates are now nearly always very "safe", as they used to get lots of complaints when they were close and got moved. I'd think that given that personal email from nga@ hat there's a high probability it will be June or early July.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 53.4/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM
