FTTC Coming in September, will my cab be enabled?

Hi there,

I'm connected to cabinet 44 on the Port Talbot Exchange. The Openreach websites says it is due in September. Previously the date was June.

I'm on Sky LLU, so cannot check my phone number on the DSL checker website.

When I use the address checker, I get the following:

'Address ***************, CWMAVON, PORT TALBOT, SA12 9LQ on Exchange PORT TALBOT is served by Cabinet 44'

There is no mention of FTTC or speeds, though a few months ago it did estimate 30mbit for FTTC, this seems to have been removed.

Is there anyway I can determine whether my cabinet is on the rollout plan?

They'll give you the info if it is part of the commercial rollout.

its wait and wait and wait. You know there is a 50/50 chance when the contractors start digging next to your cab.. Once that started it was about 2 mths before I was then able to order FTTC.

In my town it all went live, but the estate I was on was passed over. It took 6mths for my estate too get connected in the end (thank goodness).
