Fibre Optic has arrived in Darlington. Cabinets are been updated in gradual rollout. I'm in High Grange estate and I have just signed up. Will be installed 25th July and actual speed for me is 56Mb down and 20Mb up. Hope it arrives quickly for you other guys. I've been stuck at 2.5mb at best for 6 years as I didn't have access to Virgin on my part of estate.
