Engineer no-show

[link to this post]

Does anyone know what "Manually progressed by NETNS01" means. I waited in this afternoon for BT to check my fibre line and he didnt show up. I called my ISP and informed them of the no-show and all they had on their systems from BT was the above quote, which they admitted they didnt know the meaning of. Can anyone shed some light on it?
Thank you.

It's a taskforce (BT works allocation system) note. Dosnt mean anything specific other someone has done something to progress the task

but on the up side, you can get FTTC and its just a matter of time (1-2 days/mths) before you are on it, so cup 1/2 full thoughts for the next few days smile

As I read it, he says he is already on FTTC, and an engineer was booked to 'check' his line, probably due to some problem with it.

Edit - whch is why some of us get somewhat annoyed when people click Reply against the latest post in a thread, not the one they are replying to. The intended "replied to" doesn't get the email so may not see the reply for a while, and somebody else can get an incorrect email.

In my case, it seems so. Fingers crossed for this evening.

"BT have confirmed that they are attempting to resolve this issue without a site visit. They have asked us to check for further updates after 17.00 tomorrow. We'll be back in touch as soon as we have more news. Apologies for any inconvenience caused"

In this weather, you would think they would be glad of being out and about.

That quote was a cut and paste job from Sunday.

i thought it was the norm as a friend of mine stayed in twice now waiting for BTOR to sort out her phone line and she is now a bit fed up with it and I think she will start shouting down the phone.

i told her to get the same system as me.

There speaks someone who doesn't work outside !

Drive around in a van with no air con. Work with in the blazing sun on you, sweating like the proverbial. It ain't all that, I can tell you.

Yes you are right, I dont work outside anymore, I wish I still did though. I spent my first 15yrs of my working life mainly outside, whatever the weather and I loved it.

P.S
4 Tonners did'nt have air-con either.
