Anyone know why no FTTC at ESROS?

Checking the OR map, it is the only "not currently in rollout plans" in a sea of "accepting orders".

Depends a lot on how many cabinets the few thousand customers are spread out across, as its more the numbers per cab within a reasonable distance than exchange size per se

Conservation area with planning issue s? (wild guess)

Not a bad guess at all but I dont think too much difference with the AO.

edit: actually I think the others are outside of the world heritage sites, this exchange probably does serve much of both the sites.

As suggested by Yarwell, conservation area?

Cobbled streets?

Tram lines?

I note with some dismay that Tynecastle Park is not a listed building or in a conservation area.

More leased lines at that exchange than any other.

It's nothing to do with conservation areas, many other local exchanges have been enabled in such zones.

This is my exchange (and several of my clients), so this is a question I have been asking for some time.
I suspect it's because there are a lot of businesses in the area - BT are milking them for all they can before installing FTTC.
I'm stuck with ADSL on Rose Street, because Virgin refuse to install cable along there.
