BT Sport with Linksys E3000 router

Has anybody managed to get this working? (on a YouView box)

After 3 days trying BT are telling me that the Sport channel delivered via Infinity will only work with the Homehub and not 3rd party routers.

Something to do with Multicast.

I soooo don't want to go back to the Homehub - it gave me nothing but problems.

I can watch live feeds on web and android just fine, but maybe they dont use multicast.

They don't - its the BT Vision box and the YouView boxes that can/might.

Could you not run the Linksys E3000 off of the Home Hub, and disable the Hub's wireless functionality? I think you'd have to set the Linksys E3000 as a wireless access point though. That *should* work I think, provided you connect the Youview box via an ethernet cable to the YouView box or, alternatively, home plugs if you use them. I don't think there is any way of using Multicast without the hub.

I read that someone got multicast working with a Billion 7800n by adding an additional EWAN profile for full-bridge as well as PPPOE. Also I saw someone else saying their Draytek 2850n worked as well.
