Not really a story as about 10 people in the country can get it. And 7 of those don't see the point in paying the extra fiver a month

Not one of the original 10, but should be one of the next 10 before the end of the year. But I missed the price on the link above so I do not know whether it is worth it or not.

looks like they have upgraded the 160 to 200, my speeds got a bit of a jump today or they upgraded me to 300 for free

They need to get FTTC to us first let alone 300meg...!
Just like they need to fix 2G here before trying to launch 4G...!

Hyperoptic offer 1Gb, and both are equally as relevant to the vast majority of us at the moment.

I bet it's 300 but his home equipment can't handle it.

Seemed to be a common problem on the very very small 300Mbps trial.

There was a thread in this forum about the overhead that PPPoE causes a lot of equipment, that without can do over 400megabit throughput, but with maxes out at under 200megabit.
James BT Infinity 2 19/09/2012 - Sold 42/6 - Getting 46/10 - Sync 54 / 11 Mbps @ 470m approx

Guessing 300 to be honest, i might replace the HH3 at some point though its hard to justify spending money when you have 200 already and can't think of any reasons to need it faster

They won't get FTTC to you "first". If you get FTTC then you don't get FTTP. Given FTTC availability, you would be able to get FTTPoD, which is a bit different and will be far more expensive.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 51.8/16.8Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

"Ultrafast speeds up to 50x faster than the UK average. Speeds are based on BT Infinity Option 3 and 4 synchronisation speed and UK average speed from Ofcom Speed Report November 2013."
So when Ofcom release their report in three months time, the UK average will have gone down to 6meg
