I have been trying to get a definitive answer from BT about fibre availability for some time - maybe someone here can get me a bit further.
My office phone line is connected to cab41 in Droitwich which is not enabled. However my neighbour and landlord lives next door (and has a connecting door to our premises). His line comes from the same telegraph pole but is connected to cab 21 and can get fibre! So I asked BT if I can order a new line and they can attach it to the FTTC cabinet.
However they always say they will ring me back, never do and then each time I phone up I have to get past the - "what's your telephone number? No you can't get fibre" conversation, which is driving me nuts!
So does any know if I can ask for a new line to go to a different cabinet from my current line and if so how/who I ask? As it will go to the same pole it seems I should be able to but all the phone companies seem to know about is the results of the line checker.
I have thought of asking my neighbour to plug in an extension lead and run it through the connecting door!
