DSLAM markings by a Virgin cable cabinet?

Waking down our road a couple of days ago I noticed the pavement had been marked up with DSLAM. However, we already have FTTC from our local cabinet another 50 yrds up the road. What's more the cabinet by which DSLAM is marked is a Virgin cable cabinet.

Any thoughts?

Agreed with Ribble. The fact that it's near to a VM cabinet is probably a good "tactic" on OR's part, i.e. it probably won't be refused if there's already (non-BT) street furniture there. Check roadworks.org for works explanations.

There's a BT cabinet directly across the road. I guess the DSLAM is being installed on the same side of the road as the existing one even though the cabinet it's serving is across the road.
