checked the bt wholesale checker today expecting there to be a change but nothings changed.
I drove past the cabinet last night and there was no sticker on it
Checked on the samknows site and its still saying yesterday was the RFS date, so its not pushed back?.
Is there anywhere else I can check whats going on with my exchange? (MYBD)

An exchange can go live with only a few cabinets enabled. Is your new FTTC cabinet installed, and if so can you hear the fans running if you get close to the vents?
Samknows can be a bit slow updating these days.
Are you using your phone number to check? The address checker is usually OK as well, but the pure postcode checker is unreliable as it can be served by more than one cabinet and only reports on one.
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 55.8/14.5Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I've not heard anything from the cab as its on a very busy (major) road. will go and have a listen.
I did see road works there not too long ago, and also saw something on roadworks.org, so am pretty certain all work that needed to be done is done.
I am using my phone number to check and there's no mention of FTTC availability.

Stickers vary based on council/location e.g. in conservation areas they are usually not put on, i.e. to keep the cabinet more hidden

sounds about right i live in a semi-rural location and from a distance the cab blends in with a hedge behind it and is also facing away from the road facing a footpath and then the hedge

well I had a listen, but could hear nothing. Also noting planned on roadworks.org but I think it was quite noisey so that might have drowned it out.
Is it really loud?, quite audible?

What makes the presence of stickers vary is based on something else.....
Openreach asked employees to get involved in promoting 'Super Fast Fibre' if interested, an employee could request being sent some of the stickers and then go round their locale and apply as they saw fit.
So a lack of stickers is more likely proof of the CBA attitude of the local staff !

You won't hear it with traffic anywhere near.

with it being on a main road, right next to a roundabout. Its going to be impossible to hear it.

I could never hear the fans in the cabinet that serves our house, despite there being no audible traffic around at the time.
I have this amusing mental image of people checking cabinets with a stethoscope.

I went a a little earlier, too noisey test hear anything.
Do ISPs have some sort of backend db they can check?. Something a little more up to date than the public website.
Its cabinet 83, served out of the MYBD exchange that I'm on.

Is there another cabinet nearby that looks like this?
I suspect cab 83 just has a standard PCP .

Just be aware Samknows can be very slow in updating exchange status. Our exchange will be getting FTTC from early next year and also Sky LLU'd our exchange last week, yet this is what Samknows says
FTTC X NOT AVAILABLE
SKY/EASYNET X NOT AVAILABLE
Not even a 'coming soon' or RFS date.

That's the "new" cabinet that was installed, there's an older wider cabinet that's been there years, and is still there. Its arounf 9 feet away from the new cab.
This new thin one is the Fibre cab I believe.
So, is there someone I can ask for an update as to whats going on?, someone in BT/Openreach?
