How reliable are cabinet live dates?

[link to this post]

Hi

I emailed Openreach and they told me my nearest cabinet will be accepting FTTC orders in Feb 2014 if everything goes to plan. However looking at others experience, many people experience delays of weeks/months/years so just wondering should i take this Feb 2014 date with a large pinch of salt? If it helps i live < 1km from the exchange.

Regarding the 40/10 and 80/20 fibre products, is there any difference between taking these on a residential service and a business service (other than price & support)? I know adslmax premium in addition to a higher upload of 832kbps, also gets priority over the standard adslmax (upload 448kbps) at busy times in the exchange, just wondering if business fibre products work in a similar way.

Cheers smile

If they are forecasting February go live date then it must be fairly early in the build . Treat it as a best case scenario.
