Your exchange is not available for FTTC yet according samknows. I can see it say end of 2014 by BT when and where site for your exchange sadly.

Contractor had return to my cabinet digging up again as the power had failed say Liv Garfield latest email. That's the reason the date had been pushed back again. Liv say my FTTC won't be ready until May 2014 now. Very frustrated.

The exchange is ready. The cabs are being tested and as soon as the first cabs are ready the exchange will go live.

to me, olivia.garfield

Hi ******,

Progress as you know the Dslam cabinet is now stood.

Also happy to report power was successfully connected.

We are now actively connecting the fibre and copper, slight delay at present due to an underground blockage which I will get feedback on progress tomorrow.

I will send you an overall update at the end of the week.

Regards
Olivia Garfield

Wish I could get constant updates. My cab is about 300m from a fibre enabled cab which had just been turned on. It's incredibly frustrating to know that if I was living round the corner I wouldn't be on this feeble connection. Ugh.

Mine has been standing and running for the past 6 weeks now.

Getting the actual thing installed and running is just the first of many hurdles.

Rather than constantly exchanging e-mails, you already know it won't be too long, simply read this post, sign up to a page watching service(like this), and insert a URL with your phone number. You will then be automatically notified when the BT checker is changed i.e. when your cabinet goes live.

Of course I realise my suggestion is entirely rational and you'll completely ignore it. tongue

I will not use this watching service this page: http://www.followthatpage.com/ as I don't want to give this person my phone number. No thanks
