In reply to a post by bilbonvidia:
Yes it is fibre to cab VDSL service.

At work there is no modem only the all in one device Netgear DGND3700 which has a modem built in for ADSL/VDSL. Normally the DSL port is connected directly to the phone socket.

Netgear DGND3700v2 doesn't have a modem built in for VDSL. (Only ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+) however it does support fibre on the wan ethernet port (connected to openreach modem (VDSL)

Could the problem be that it is VDSL up to 40mb and not VDSL2?

No the 40 and 80 versions are the same standard, i.e. both VDSL2

They removed the VDSL2 support in a firmware update at some point

Well Netgear doesn't think it has a VDSL modem. Weird.

Linky.

Neither does the v2 according to its User Manual.

You said earlier about having altered some settings in the HG612? Or did I misunderstand what you posted?

Ahhh! How strange. So the poster's company is using a withdrawn product? I wonder what is wrong with it.

It isn't. Neither the DGND3700 no the DGND3700v2 include a VDSL modem. I have both here.
